BRD a mobile wallet provider is going into partnership with Ripple’s Xpring to improve use by consumers. BRD is a mobile cryptocurrency wallet that has about 2.5 million fan base, the platform will be creating the Xpring platform to support and incorporate XRP.
This was made public on Friday by both companies, it stated that the Xpring would invest $750,000 into BRD as its support to “build the internet of value.” As part of this novel “strategic partnership,” BRD will join XRP and start developing on Xpring’s developer platform. Going by the press release which stated, “The partnership and investment will enable BRD users to hold, buy, sell and send XRP to anyone in the world.”

The investment is to permit users to have access to the coin, buy, sell and spend the XRP token through the wallet. By incorporating BRD, Xpring took into consideration the wallet’s bigger user base and provincial exposure of 170 countries, equally the company’s healthy growth in major metrics such as transaction capacity. The press release suggests that the partnership can result in a novel kind of decentralized financial Defi services like banking, loaning and peer-to-peer transactions that involve no mediators.
BRD Making Move to Better Its Wallet
Previously in June, BRD partnered with Wyre, blockchain payment and infrastructure to permit its United States-based customers to obtain cryptocurrencies using bank transfers. According to the press release, the new service is sustained by over 1,700 U.S banks and supposedly permits for purchases to register within five minutes.
The senior vice president of Xpring, Ethan Beard commended BRD as “one of the oldest and most respected” mobile wallet suppliers in the universe. In his statement, he stated that the wallet is supporting in the conventional adoption of cryptocurrencies, commenting:
“The BRD team has helped consumers on-ramp $6 billion worth of traditional currencies into digital currency, making them an ideal partner to continue the proliferation and adoption of cryptocurrencies like XRP to solve real-world problems.”
BRD CEO and co-founder Adam Traidman commented on the partnership stated “We’re incredibly excited about joining forces with Ripple to bring XRP to our user base, Ripple understands the need for a strong wallet partner as they push into key markets like cross-border banking and remittance, so we are thrilled to help them achieve their goals. Also, we plan to have BRD be the cheapest and easiest place to buy XRP moving forward.” Currently, the company provides its IOS and Android apps in about 170 countries.
