Ethereum (ETH) was recently featured as a plot point in a hit sci-fi TV show, as reported by NewsBTC. In Netflix’s The OA, a character received ETH as reward for playing a fictional online game.
Combining elements of sci-fi and the supernatural, The OA partly revolves around a puzzle game called Q Symphony. An episode in its second series saw a girl win a significant amount of ETH playing the game, and then subsequently go missing, after sending most of the crypto to her grandmother.
It’s unclear whether people involved with the show knew much about Ethereum’s current price, but the ETH featured was worth significantly more than it is now, at around $1000.
Season 2 Episode 1 of ’The OA’ on Netflix has a private detective paid in ETH to find a missing girl.
Nice to see adoption and I wish 29.482 ETH still = $31,096 😅

Both The Blacklist and Billions have also featured crypto in their plot in one way or another, although cryptos other than Bitcoin (BTC) are rarely mentioned explicitly.
